Sales revenue of June 2008
Release Date: 2008/07/02
Gintech Energy Corporation has announced its operating results for June 2008. Gintech posted monthly sales revenue of NT$1.45 billion in June, marking 23 consecutive months of sales growth since the company began volume production in August 2008. Year-on-year, revenue was up 132% compared to the June 2007 total of NT$1.095 billion.
Since its establishment as a specialist solar cell manufacturer three years ago, Gintech has achieved steady growth. Having begun solar cell production at a relatively early date, Gintech enjoys first-mover advantage with respect to the new entrants that are now moving into the market, and will be able to leverage its economies of scale to maintain competitive advantage over the long term. Gintech is already planning further expansion of its production capacity, and is working actively to develop new customers.
With oil prices expected to remain high for the foreseeable future, governments all over the world – including the European Union, the U.S., Japan and South Korea – have made the promotion of solar energy a key element in national energy policy, and the outlook for the global solar cell markets is bright. To cope with rapidly growing demand – and the emergence of new competitors – Gintech has implemented rigorous strategic planning that will enable the company to gradually expand and deepen its operations, creating a solid foundation for sustainable growth.
