	To approach higher conversion efficiency of solar cells, Gintech Energy Corporation, a global leading cell manufacturer, announces its competitive high efficiency solar cells “Diamond Series” at SNEC (2013) PV POWER EXPO, Shanghai, China, May 2013.<br />

	Gintech announces the successful development of its Diamond multicrystalline cell with a peak conversion efficiency of 19.5%, measured by TÜV Rheinland. Gintech’s Diamond series breakthrough lies in the company’s ability to mass-produce cells that completely exceed market average efficiency by one percent. With the performance of Diamond, Gintech believes this product will be revolutionary within the PV market.&nbsp;</p>
<p>
	The benefits of Diamond series are its compatibility to present module processes while maintaining similar reliability of the mainstream products. Cells with high power output are the key for the next generation of products. With Diamond, module customers can achieve 270W in 60-cell multicrystalline modules. This results in promising benefits in the cost-effective solution of the PV system.</p>

Taiwan’s Council of Labor Affairs (CLA) has reviewed the company's occupational health and safety management system performance, and has given us a rating of over 90%. Over the last three years, our Frequency-Severity Indicator was also less than 25% of other industry peers. On 5 October 2012, Gintech received the “Occupational Safety and Health Management System Performance Recognition” award from the Executive Yuan Council of Labor Affairs for the next 10 years. This 10-year recognition is the highest honor in the industry and the first among solar industry peers.</p>

	Ministry of Economic Affairs(MOEA) Will Jointly Fund Gintech and Utech&nbsp;to Undertake R&amp;D Projects on “Mono-like Crystalline Silicon Wafers and High Efficiency Copper Plating Solar Cells" Research.</p>
<p>
	In today's competitive&nbsp;solar industry, producing high-efficiency and low-cost products are the primary missions for Gintech Energy Corporation (Gintech). Led by Gintech and Utech Solar R&amp;D&nbsp;teams, the research will focus on developing high-efficiency mono-like wafers and copper-plating technologies on cells.</p>

<p>
	When successfully commercialized, the copper-plating technologies can be an alternate for silver-plating conductive method. The R&amp;D projects have been accepted by Department of Industrial Technology of MOEA and will be funded as part of MOEA’s Industrial R&amp;D and Innovative Projects.</p>

	Gintech’s latest launch of Hybrid Series, made of multicrystalline wafer with high percentage&nbsp; large mono-grain, reaches efficiency more than 18% and increases power output up to 255W, using 60-cell configuration. Additionally, with optimized pattern design and process recipe, Gintech has enhanced the efficiency of its best selling “Douro Series” to 19% for monocrystalline solar cells and more than17% for multicrystalline solar cells. High performance module solutions for&nbsp; 260W and 245W with 60-cell configuration are confirmed by Gintech’s worldwide customers.&nbsp; A detailed description on the new development will be presented at PV EXPO 2012, booth number E28-35.</p>

	The upcoming PV Expo 2011 is going to be held from 3/2 (Wed) to 3/4 (Fri) at Tokyo Big Sight Exhibition Center. So far it is the largest Solar Exhibition in Asia. It expects to gather around 900 PV specialized exhibitors at PV Expo 2011 demonstrating the cutting-edge technologies of the industry. Along with PV System Expo, the event will cover different kinds of technologies related to the manufacturing of solar cells and modules, applications and apparatus. This year, the number of visitors is estimated to exceed 135,000.</p>
